Mowly in Claude and ChatGPT
Connect your Mowly account to Claude, ChatGPT or any other app that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The app can then research official legal sources with Mowly and work with your matters, documents, lists and tables, with the permissions you already have.
Server address
Paste this address when you add Mowly as a connector:
https://mowly.ai/mcpYou need a Mowly account. The first time, you sign in to Mowly and approve the app's access on a Mowly consent screen. The app never sees your password.
How to connect
Claude
- In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
- Choose to add a custom connector, name it Mowly and paste the server address.
- Select Connect, sign in to Mowly and allow access. In a chat, make sure Mowly is turned on in the tools menu.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector for the organisation first. Mowly works in Claude on the web, desktop and mobile apps.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps & Connectors, and turn on developer mode in the advanced settings.
- Create a connector, name it Mowly, paste the server address and choose OAuth as the authentication.
- Sign in to Mowly and allow access. In a chat, choose Mowly from the tools menu.
On Business and Enterprise plans, an admin may need to allow custom connectors first.
Other apps
Any app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in can connect with the same address.
Once Mowly is listed in the Claude and ChatGPT directories, you will also be able to find it there by name.
What Mowly can do there
Legal research
Searches legislation, case law, doctrine and administrative and tax rulings for your jurisdiction, and answers with numbered citations and links to the official sources.
Your matters
Reads your matters, with their events, documents and conversations, so the app can answer about a specific case.
Your documents
Lists and searches the files in your projects and reads their text before answering.
Lists, tables and deadlines
Reads your lists and tabular reviews and, when you ask, creates or edits lists, builds and fills tabular reviews, corrects cells and saves events and deadlines.
Saving files
Saves a document the app wrote to a project as Word or PDF in your house style, or imports a file you attached or a file at a public link.
Mowly skills
Gives the app Mowly's practical know-how for your jurisdiction (formalities, contents, where to file, fees) before it drafts a document.
Example prompts
- With Mowly, what is the deadline to contest a dismissal under Portuguese law, and what does the case law say about it?
- Summarise the latest events in my matter against Silva Lda and list what is pending.
- Search my Lease 2026 project for the termination clauses and compare them.
- Create a tabular review of the contracts in my Due Diligence project with the parties, term and governing law.
- Draft a reply to the attached notice and save it as Word in my Silva project.

Limits and safeguards
- Nothing can be deleted through the connector. To delete, use Mowly.
- The app has exactly your Mowly permissions: projects and tables shared with you as view-only can be read but not changed.
- The app only creates or changes something when you ask, and Mowly records each change.
- Filling a tabular review uses your Mowly credits, as it does in Mowly.
- Up to 50 files saved or imported per day, each up to 50 MB, and up to 30 skill requests per day.
- Files from links are only downloaded from public https addresses, and their content must match their type.
How to disconnect
In Mowly, open Settings, then Integrations & apps. Under Connected apps, choose Disconnect next to the app. Its access ends straight away. You can also remove the connector in the app's own settings.
Privacy and support
Results that Mowly returns are then handled by the app you connected, under its own terms. The Privacy Policy explains what Mowly records when you use it from an external app.
